Aussies Consider English More Important Than Birthplace

An international study done by the Pew Research Center in the United States shows that to Aussies, speaking English is more important than religious beliefs, cultural traditions, or even the place of your birth.
Australia Immigration Professionals is an immigration service that provides assistance for foreign nationals who want to relocate to Australia to live and work. Only 13% of Australians felt that it’s important to be a true national of the country. The country with the lowest percentage of the population giving importance to one’s birthplace was Sweden with only 8%. Canadians weighed in at 21%, American’s voted 32%, and the Japanese weighed in at 50% regarding the importance of being born in their country.
